SUMMARY:Launching of Climate Change Education (SECCE) program for the 2022/2023 academic year
DESCRIPTION:One of the obstacles to sustainability and climate action especially among the youth is a lack of proper sustainability and climate change education in schools. Due to that\, EEFABE proposes to work on the establishment of proper sustainability\, environmental and climate change education\, empower the youths with environmentally friendly income generating activities\, enhance synergies between stakeholders and actors\, and provide support be it technical\, training\, and capacity building.  Sustainability and climate change education projects will fill the gap created by the lack of information coming from this area\, which has always hindered the achievement of profound climate action through sustainable development in Cameroon. \nFurther activities include promoting\, sensitizing\, and empowering youths on climate change and the SDGs\, collaborating with other organizations\, associations\, and institutions to promote climate change education\, and proposing sustainable development plans under strict COVID prevention measures. SUMMARY:Training of Volunteer facilitators for the 2022/2023 academic year
DESCRIPTION:Environmental Education for a Better Earth (EEFABE) is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Douala\, Littoral region of Cameroon\, that engages in the protection and preservation of the environment\, and its resources through sustainability\, environmental\, and climate change education. The objectives are to promote quality sustainability\, environmental and climate change education in schools and communities\, and youth empowerment on environmentally friendly income-generating activities to alleviate poverty while combatting climate change \n18 were selected from the over 30 volunteers that applied to take climate action as facilitators. The training is scheduled to take place on October 1st\, 2022. After the successful launching of the program last year\, we thought it wise to expand to more schools in Cameroon. With our target of 8 schools in 4 regions of the country this academic year. \nWhile continuing with the sensitization\, weekly outreach\, gardening\, composting\, and other activities of last year in school\, we plan to introduce new activities like fish farming\, which will make students learn how to cultivate fish while using the waste from the fish to irrigate the school garden that we set up\, which will also serve as manure. \nThe venue will be communicated to all the persons involved.

SUMMARY:School Gardening at GBHS Nyalla
DESCRIPTION:Implantation of school garden at Government Bilingual High School Nyalla. Working with students to prepare the surrounding environment for the planting of flowers\, which consist of softening the soil\, filling the concrete foundation with soils and preparing the flowers for planting. All the students of the club are involve  in the activity \nThe second part entails collecting fruit seeds from apple\, grape\, orange and lemon fruits. Students will then fill plastic containers with soil and later on nurse the different seeds into the different containers.

SUMMARY:Climate Change Awareness with ACRP
DESCRIPTION:This is a  country event to raise awareness about the climate crisis to   young people in schools\, with a focus on Government Bilingual High School Nyalla. It is an event that is part of central African regional strategy for the African Climate Reality Project. \nClass leaders from all the classes at Government Bilingual High School Nyalla will be selected to participate in the event. Students will be provided with launch during the event\, and a video projection on the impact of climate change on women will be projected after the different presentations.
